Pretty much perfect IMO ... lovely pose, composition, perch, and BG and excellent expsoure!

If anything, maybe a bit looser framing with a tad more room at top, bottom, and left.

Denise, I like it as is. Nice soft light, excellent sharpness, and good eye contact. Happy New Year!

WOW!!! This is just what I needed to see after an extremely poor day of birding - You have made me want to go back out again and it is dark!!
Such a stunning shot. I looked at it for a long time before I started to agree that the crop is a tiny bit too tight. Aside from that I wouldn't change a thing.
    The whites are amazing!!

    Denise:

    Good comments already given.
Sharp, lovely exposure, like the slightly fluffed plumage, interesting perch without overpowering the bird.

    Well done.

Good job on this image Denise. Very pleasing, and I couldn't tell there was whitewash before:). Did you need to pish (or other sound)to get the eye open?

Very nice Denise, I love it when they tuck their beak back like that :) It was so nice to meet you, and thanks again for all the ID's, we (Noelle and I) are trying to get better at IDing the shore birds. I posted a Harlequin a few days ago on BPN :)

Lovely Dunlin, as usual, Denise. I guess I tend to like a tight crop, so to my eye the comp is just perfect. Ditto the pose and bg. Happy New Year!

Denise, lovely soft light, and I always like these type of 'lookback' poses, although its more of a resting pose. Good feather detail captured, sharp, and the comp works well.

    Happy New Year Denise.

Very nice. Love the color of the background in relation to the bird.

Do you think it is too late to get out to the jetty? Every year I say I'm going, but life gets in the way!
