    Found a small group of Mergansers in a Melbourne, Fl pond. Cloudy Day. Canon Eos 1D Mark IV, Eos 500mm F4l IS, 1.4 tele, Iso 800, F5.6, 1/1250 sec, -1 2/3 stops, Manual Mode

    What a great looking Merganser, real sharp image. Nice contrast. The concentric ripples add a great effect. If it were mine, I may try to crop out some of the ripple to help highlight the bird more.

    Love the ripples!
    Would like to see bird a bit more to the left in the frame.
    Looks like it could use some CW rotation.

    Layton, I like the grey colored water and the pose. I agree it might need a rotation. I would tighen up the comp. if this isn't a big crop.

    Hi Layton,
    great shot with the ripples.
    I think that I would crop the top down to the first or second ripple. It isn't very rippley .. ripped .. rippled (?) there, and doen't add to much to the photgraph.
