    Another from my back yard. Maybe an example of how good the IS is in this lens. Handheld balancing near the top of a 6' step ladder to get a better angle. These birds are small, about 20 cm HT.

    Great to have some nesting in the yard. Is the juvie flying yet? Looks a bit young I guess.

    I wonder if a vertical crop might work here? I'm not sure but the composition just doesn't feel right. Nice exposure on the birds. Those are some slow shutter speeds. Looks like it's just showing signs of camera shake.

    How awesome to have these types of birds nesting in your yard!! I like the colours, and the affectionate poses. I would crop more at right - this would balance the comp a bit better, and it would also minimize the distracting bright areas there. I know you used negative FEC, but the effect of flash still seems strong to me.
