    Default Marine Iguana

This marine iguana was photographed at Punta Suarez in the Galapagos. I made a minor adjustment to exposure, eliminated a color cast, lightened the eye, and did a little selective sharpening. Feedback is always welcomed!

Handsome fella. Nice contrast with the high key BG. Eyeball seems a little grainy (maybe from bringing it up in post?). Maybe some selective NR and a little tweak of contrast could restore some clarity.

Is this a crop Mike, if so any idea on how much?

    Thanks

Nice portrait Mike. I like the high key effect as well. One I would love to get a chance with.

Thanks to all for your comments. Steve C, I looked at the raw image, and the grainy eye appears to be natural. The iguana's eye clearly has a grainy, or pebbly, look to it. And, Steve K, this image was cropped only very slightly on the lower and right edge. The image is 96% of the original size.

    Mike,
Thanks for the reply. Never had the opportunity to see one in person. Maybe it from all that salt water :p
