    Very nice. I like the crop. It this were mine I would probably try to clean up the end of the bill a bit. I am still trying to get a great portrait of a GBH. Congrats.

    Sid, I prefer this one better than your previous for the more profile look (and resulting better look at the eye), and also for the uncut neck plumes. Cleaning up the end of the bill is indeed an option, but I don't mind it this way as it implies a preening session is in the works. Excellent image!!:cool:

    Thanks Daniel.

    My previous image is an effort to make some thing that does not exists for a viewer. I can recreate this image as many times I want but not the previous one which is very special to me.

    We counted 9 nesting spots yesterday and 13 herons. Come down to Florida. You will get much more than this.:)

    Hehe you know I've never been to Florida, and did not have any interest until I started photographing birds. Now it's on my short list! :)
