This is a bird that sticks to small pools of water on the forest floor. The dense canopy makes sure that there is almost never any light to work with so I had to push my camera to ISO 1600 here. Also, this species is active just before dawn and seems to disappear with the rising sun, so that presents even more of a challenge.
Self Critique:- I wish I'd got the entire feet in the frame here but he came so suddenly along with 2 young ones that the slightly movement on my part would have frightened them off.
All C&C welcome and much appreciated.
Thanks for your valuable time. Appreciate it.

Rohan

Lovely color, with complimentary colors in BG. Neat catchlight. Sharp. Noise remarkably good for this ISO. Can see some in the shadows, but not objectionable.
Did you need to run noise reduction?
I might consider cropping 1/3 of the free space above the bird away.
Really nice Rohan, love the colours. I can't see your repost (not sure why:confused:) but I do agree with Randy's crop suggestion. Could also go just a touch brighter I think.
@Paul
I too have no idea why the re-post isn't showing. It was fine a few hours ago. Thanks for pointing it out. Here is a link to the re-post. Very sorry for the inconvenience.
