    Default Balancing Act

This trumpeter was imaged yesterday at the local bird sanctuary. Fairly late in the afternoon, with only a little weak winter sun filtering through the clouds. I was fascinated by his balance, as he did a number of poses, always balancing on one leg. This was the most interesting one for me.

I liked the subtle tonal gradations visible because of the very soft light.

    Advice and comments always appreciated.

Absolutely love the pose. The light is falling nicely on the face.

Hi Randy , Nice to see the touch of humour in your recent posts.

Perfect exposure to achieve the tonal gradations you mentioned and love the head position and the ripples in the water.

Wonderful exposure on the whites, like the head turn and eye contact. Rippled water also adds, nice taken Randy.
