One of the first of my father's photographs that I remember looking at as a child was of a cow standing in a corn field with his head turned behind his back. My dad, always one for a good story, told us all it was the first cow ever to be born without a head that had somehow managed to live. He had an answer for every question we threw at him (which weren't too many because we were all below the age of 10.)
I still can't look at an image of an animal with his head turned behind him without remembering how hard I tried to figure out where he was getting air from if he had no nose.
Yes, I know...I wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer!
I took this image today (in 60 degree weather no less!) so here's one for what "lies ahead" in 2011. May we all have a wonderful year and may we all keep our heads about us!
Are the "head angle police" still around? How frustrating for them.... :)

P.S.: I remember "discovering" a new flower no one had ever seen before. My dad told me I had discovered the "Wah eeed". And I was so proud... Until I realized he was just saying "Weed".... :) What jokers our dads can be!!!!
Great story Jules! It's amazing what brings back such great memories! I have some great ones from this year myself! Here's to making more great ones in 2011!!!
