    I was happy to catch this action moment the other morning.

    Canon 30D
    400 f/5.6L ISO 400
    Av f/5.6 @ 1/640s
    Pattern Metered at +.07
    Tripod in the water.
    Crop appox 20%

    Just goes to show how much prime real estate is worth. Nice action and detail but the birds and especially the rock seems a bit over sharpened and it looks like there might be some noise in the BG.

    Thanks Lana, I went back and tried again. Seems like I am losing sharpness when I resize and its giving me a heck of a time because in full size it looks great. When I try to re-sharpen, its too much. I swapped the image but perhaps now a bit soft...

    Sometimes it's hard to get a smaller jpg to really look like it does in a larger size. If you repost, repost it in a reply.....that way we have a chance to compare the 2. Size the image first......then do the sharpening last. Your repost has lost some detail but try the resizing and then the sharpening.

    Maybe this one is about right. I tried using CS3 instead of MS Digital Image. Seems a bit better, I am just CS3 impaired...trying to get through a book on it now.
