    D300, Tamron 200-500, hand-held

    Exposure program: Aperture priority
    ISO speed rating: 1250
    Metering mode: Spot
    Some fuzzy branches in the background cloned out. I tried to back off on the zoom as the bird took off, but only got down to 460mm. at the time the image was captured.

    Interesting subject! It is a little tight in the frame. The wing closest to us is a little distracting as it is close to his eye. Whites look a little hot also.

    Love the bird. The wings have heavy noise.
