    after a very busy holiday season, thought i might post this as I start to wind down and look forward to the new year.

    Techs: Canon 1 D MK 3 , 500 mm F4 , 1/ 500 th F 5.6 ISO 400 on badger gear vehicle kit.

    Well done Andrew. Nice and sharp with lovely color. Perhaps consider toning down the bright ooof branches in the bg and although he appears to be on a hill a slight rotation to straighten him up.

    Nice detail. The eyes really stand out and grab your attention (in a good way).

    Andrew,

    I like this fellow's look, position and the light. I would suggest crop out the right and make this equal-distant on each side of the frame even though this cuts that stick in half. That stuff on the right reflecting light is a big distraction.

    thank you for your input Robert and comments Rachel. I have considered the following crop...... I also attempted to use some of my limited ps skills to reduce brightness on that pesky twig !

    superb light, pose and low angle here Andrew...I actually prefer the OP compo...more space to "breathe" and nothing really detracts from the baboon
