Ice Colors

I drove 460 miles, yesterday, in a circle to see this rare bird in South Western Ontario. On the way back, I came through Algonquin Park....some of the rocks were covered with ice..this was one of the more colorful settings.
Framing seems to set this one off
Do I remove the 3 twigs in upper right?

CS5 - sharpening - level adjustment
CS5 - saturation boost
CS5 - selective color adjustment
Topaz Simplify - watercolor
CS5 - filter - plastic wrap
CS5 - new layer - plastic wrap removed - adjusted opacity - merge visible
Fotosketcher - frame

Beautiful composition, Paul. This is like a frozen cascading falls... I like the colors. What makes those colors in the ice, btw? The branches does not bother me. TFS.

That plastic wrap filter worked great, Paul! I'm going to have to remember that when I'm out capturing the ice this winter.

Indranil, thanks, My best guess is yellow is from leeching water through the rocks picking up color, and some ice is blue, might be because of the hardness???

Beautiful composition, Paul, and the ice colors are just gorgeous! :) Very well done! I would remove the three twigs, though to be honest I didn't really notice them until I read your description.

Awesome colors, Paul! That blue looks really cold and the yellow looks....well it looks warm! Is there such a thing as warm ice? :D

Hi Paul, you gotta love the rock cuts along the highway for cascading ice formations in winter. Love the colors in this scene.

How many folks stopped to ask you what you were photographing? Seems like whenever I stop, everybody wants to know if there is a moose there.
