Another nice winter image. I like the sense of purpose in the ram which you have captured well. The little bits of grass growing through the snow break up the white nicely and add texture to the image.

    Thanks for the comments everyone.
Sid, thats what I've been hearing re: snow conditions in the park. Hope you were able to get into some wolves and coyotes with all that snow.

very nice natural history imager here Todd...exposure seems spot on and oozes with detail
compo is nicely balanced but wondering if a tad less on top and more at the bottom wouldn't be better?

What a great curl on that ram. I like the grade of the hill and the rocks in the BG. The snow on the back is a nice touch.

Certainly feel the cold on this one Todd. :)

Is it FF or cropped as the detail is there but feel there could be more perhaps? Might have been tempted to go to say f/5.6 based on the SS.

    Thanks for the comments guys.
Steve, almost FF. Might squeeze a bit more out of it, always afraid of going over the top with the sharpening. Normally use an action to resize and sharpen for web. It was well below zero when making this image.
    Thanks again.

Todd- well done habitat shot. I agree that the grass poking through adds to the feel as of course does the snow. I like the snow on the horns too.

Classic environment for these guys. Like the snow on the back.

Face looks soft - sharpness wise.

Thanks Robert, just had a look at the tiff and jpg file. Face is sharp on both but I did notice areas of worn hair on the face, perhaps an effect of brooming through the snow? That could be the issue you are seeing or could it be the 200k limit for the posted version?
    Thanks again for the feedback.
    Todd
