Southern Caracara

Southern Caracaras quickly became a trip favorite on my Pantanal safari this year.

I was pleased to get this close up portrait against an unfussy background when the light was not so harsh. Very characterful birds.

Great BG and detail!

Wish for a bit more room at the top and right and more of a head turn toward the viewer.
