Good Evening, First off, the color bar at top near head is not ideal; however I'm open to hear what you think about this image. I tried using the adjustments, curves, and checking whites and blacks, but not happy! I'm not happy with the bill as well. As it's not showing the bright "pink" i witnessed Whites are set for 239 and blacks for 15.. If you have any tips for future captures, please share them.

I can't see much wrong with it to be honest.

    Cheers.

    Hi Don:

I love the pose and feathers on this one. You have nice details and colors. I would like to see more room, esp on the top and right.

    Don:

Love the fluffed up feathers. This guy is a little darker colored than any I have seen. Perhaps too far in with the dark slider. Agree with Marina about the framing.

For some reason, the dark band you mention doesn't bother me much.

I have to say that I don't consistently get quite the pink of the bill that I remember from my shots either. I suppose you could select that area and increase the sat a bit to recreate what you saw.

    Cheers

Thks Randy, possible, on the blacks, however i was thinking he's a juvi are something, as he was darker, and not the typical grey... weird bird!!! I've got the room for the recrop, as i cropped pretty tight on the original..so i'll work on it tomorrow night ! Thks for the suggestions, and i'll try to back"r down a bit!

    Don:

I think the juvis are actually paler than the adults, so doubt this fellow is a juvi

I am sure there is some individual variation, but I would just be thoughtful about the dark slider. it does give more pop, but may not always be accurate. Some images just don't have any true blacks in them, so you don't want to artificially make a one.

    Cheers

    Randy
