One from late September, this guy gave me a few good opportunities before disappearing down his burrow. I liked the color of this one. BG is dried grass on a distant mountain. 7D, 400DO + 1.4xTC, f6.3, 1/2000s, ISO 400, -2/3 EC, tripod, cropped a bit from left, top, and bottom

Wonderful marmot shot, Steve. I'm looking at it on my laptop and it looks perfect. Nice catch of his cute little buck teeth and the rock makes for a great "perch." Marmots are only allowed to "perch" on BPN. Surprised to see you shooting down there in the low iso world with the rest of us once in awhile.

Steve I really like this portrait. The background has a richness, like velvet and sets of the marmot very well. Love the hint of the front claws just showing through its fur and of course those wonderful teeth. It has all come together so well.

Hi Steve, I like how the little guy is angled towards the URC. Good detail throughout, tack sharp, and I like the light cast on the head and eye. Great BG too. Another fine image from you.

Nice marmot Steve. I like the uncluttered background which shows off all the subtle colours in the marmot's fur very well. Super shot.
