It sure is hard to pick a favourite from 2010. But visiting Churchill and photographing this beauty was certainly one of my most memorable experiences from what has been a fantastic year :D

    All the best!

    Glenn:
As a lover of all things loony, this is special. Is this the Pacific or Artic Loon. I have trouble telling them apart.

Superb low angle giving silky smooth water and BG. Calling pose.

The light angle really makes the markings on the neck show up better because of the slight shadows.

Maybe a sliver more room on right.

Cheers, and hope to see more.

The colors are beautiful especially how the BG makes the bird stand out. Also, the calling pose is a huge plus. I agree that the right looks a little tight. Awesome capture regardless.

This is a really nice low angle. The open bill showing tongue is a very nice touch.

I can see why this is a favorite of yours. I agree with a tiny bit more room at right, but all else is A1! Love the pink wash on the BG above.

The calling pose sets this one apart, sweet shot Glenn:cool:
