Denise, I love the amazing whites on the egret and the high-key look. This fellow must have been at the same gathering as a certain other egret spotted on this forum recently. I know you don't like borders, but the image blends into the forum page in the upper half. Maybe a small stroke border that is just a bit darker than the image? :p

Andrew and Kerry, Thank you for your kind comments.
Kerry, I like the way it blends into the BG.:) But I do understand some peoples need to define the space.

It is always a treat to see what you conjure up. I got tickled when I saw this one. I began thinking this was some sort of Rorschach test. First I saw "Christmas ribbon candy" in the beak. Next the feathers reminded me of when my twins were 2 and somehow managed to toss a milkshake on the wall. Then I had visions of a cartoon where the bird ran into the wall....and his beak was in the process of springing back to its normal shape. Finally I snapped out of it.......and went back to grading the last of my semester exam essays. Thanks for the diversion!!! It's a great image.

I agree with Lana...it made me think of all different kinds of things when I first saw it. And good for you for not putting a black border around it! I love when these blend away into nothingness. :)

That's certainly an interesting and creative image. It took me a moment to take it all in and I had to look hard to distinguish the white on white tones. Well done!

Thanks folks, I appreciate the kind comments.
Lana, I thought of Christmas ribbon candy when I first saw the way the beak rendered.:)
