    A big snow storm has just started. I took this picture this morning right before the storm. it was about -15C outside and very windy. Just a beautiful tiny creature.

    Hi Rene,

    I like the exposure here, detail in the blacks and whites is pretty good and these little fellas are always on the move so you also did well with sharpness.

    My suggestions would be to try to subdue the circular highlights coming through the trees in the BG and then try a crop to get him out of the center of the frame.

    Hi Rene. That's pretty cold!!! I agree with Joel's excellent critique. I might have tried for a little more DOF to get the tail feathers in focus.

    I agree with both critiques. In my opinion, next time you should try a different perch, something more natural will bring more "live" to the photo.

    A little off the top would improve the comp imo. Nice details.
