    Hi Guys,

Hope you are all having some nice Christmas days and would like to wish everyone a wonderful 2011 filled with gorgeous light!

Here's a Dipper i shot the other day. A very scarse species for our regions as there are only one or two every few years as a winter guest.

    greetings,

    Jeroen Stel

Wow...really like the shot. Nice catch by you and the bird, plus, it LOOKS cold.

I like the wintery feel, and the food item is a big plus. Good overall pose (I wouldn't mind the face turn a wee bit more towards us with the body angle currently turn towards us) and you got yourself in a great low angle. I find the snow in LRC overwhelming to the comp though...at the risk of you taking a dip yourself I wish you could have moved left a bit more.

I agree with Daniel but I fully understand the difficulty to position yourself a little more to the left!!!

I like the picture very much,

Its a great photo with a bonus, also agree with comments above, in my opinion you should try to clone the green area above the bird.

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for your commenst so far. I have to agree with them but placing myself further to the left meant getting in the freezing water. As i did not bring my wading suit that day there was no chance in doing so..

    greetings,

Congratulations on catching this beautiful little bird visitor.
I like the soft feel the photo has and wonder if softening that one bit of in focus snow(top right of frame) would be beneficial. :)
