Came across this Caracara shortly after it had dined and was not too eager to leave with my presence.

Nice, classic pose. Beautiful light on the bird. I do think it is a bit too centered. I would try taking a bit off the top and off the left.

    Antonio:

Agree with Allan re: light and cropping.
The light angle was well off to your left, which caused some shadows, but the head turn helped keep the face well illuminated. You might be able to do a bit of subtle shadow work to bring up the shaded areas a little.

Would prefer a more natural perch, but these guys seem to love the fence posts.

    Cheers

    Randy

good suggestions from Randy...lovely light and clarity. does it need a hint of extra sharpening on the bird?

Beautiful bird, great pose and lighting. I also think some more sharpening, especially the head, might help.

Sweet lighting here, just a bit off the top for me.

Processing is a bit dark and muddy.... Lightened the repost with curves and SH/HI, took out some RED, sharpened the face and sunlit feathers with a contrast mask. Cropped to 3 X 2.

You are most welcome sir. Thanks as stack for you membership support. Looking at it again this morning I might have overdone it a bit but you get the idea :)
