The road where I live goes down the hill and finishes on the banks of the Tidal River Mersey. Strangely even though I have lived here for over 10 years I have never bothered taking the camera down to the end of the road despite frequently seeing waders on the beach while out taking the dogs on their daily hike.
Yesteday I had an hour spare so popped down as the tide was ebbing. It proved quite productive with curlew and dunlin which just goes to show that shouldn't ignore what is on the doorstep! I am sure it will not be my last visit.
Here is one of the dunlin photos from the brief tester session.

Hi Rich, I like your low perspective, and you have captured good detail on the little guy. Sharp, and I like how the blues of the BG compliment the Dunlin. I like the feeding behaviour too. Im sure this wont be your last image from this location. :)
Pretty amazing that you have such a productive place so close to home. Lovely low angle and feeding posture on this one. The light is very nice, and exposure and sharpness are spot on! If you want, you could crop a bit from the top to reduce the impact of the dark band there.
Nicely done, and I'm looking forward to more form this location!
