My first trip to Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico. The sight of seeing a

as many of them flew just a few feet above our heads....:o

The photo really has a very nice feel to it.

The many snow geese and slightly layered and varied bg really make it for me.

    Nice.

I think a darker background would make the geese stand out more and so if this were mine, I would crop the sky out to remove whatever light color background there is in the photo :)

    Nice image William.
One thing I would do is to crop a bit of the top and avoid those two small patches of sky. Here is my crop and hope you dont mind.

I agree with Sid's crop. What a maze of birds - isn't it a miracle that they don't hit each other. I would be interested to see if this was a cropped image, or if not what the "edges" were like - no reason, except I always like to see what the whole picture was as it was framed in the camera.I must go to Bosque - I have been to Sacramento NWA and klamath - ah well, maybe my next US trip.

What a wonderful blast off image! I agree that Sid's crop takes it up another notch. You must have had an amazing time!

Looking at this image I see a hundred different things you could do with it. I can't remember if you've ever dipped your toes down to the OOTB forum but they have many "blast off" images down there and it might inspire you to try something new with this one just to see what would become of it. I think it's awesome as presented but think it would also make a stunning black and white or a duotone image for starters...

Thank you all for the pointers. As posted it was no crop...I had thought of taking some off the top but I guess my only excuse is I was lazy. The crop looks much better.

    Again many thanks and

Happy and Safe Holidays to All.
