    Default Hello from Georgia

    Hi all,

I'm a brand new member. I'm just an amatuer phtographer with an interest in nature and birds. I'm sure that my images are not up to the standards of most of the members here but if you are interested my web site is www.tom-wilson-photography.com

My current goal is to have reasonably good photos of 200 species of birds. I have photos of 125 species currently. I guess the rub is, What's reasonably good?

I do a good bit of work for the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, Chatthoochee National Recreation Area, Nature Conservancy, Atlanta Audubon Society and others.
I really want to improve my bird photography over the next year.

I shoot Nikon equipment and my favorite photographer is Eliot Porter.

Welcome, Tom, this is certainly the place to do it! Feel free to hop over to the Eager to Learn forum if you want more hands on teaching, otherwise, the other forums are ready and waiting for your images. Don't feel intimidated - remember that we all have to start from where we're at and everyone here loves to help.

    Merry Christmas!

Though I was not a big Red Skelton fan I do remember watching him on those little black and white TVs in the 1950s.... But for some reason Clem Kadiddlehopper stuck in my mind :)

I will be 65 this coming June.
