I love it, not only nice shot, but I want to know this guys story. What has he been through?

At the end of each day during the Bosque clean-up we'd take a trip around the bosque. These guys were every where. This little fellow was looking for food along the ditch and probably went in after frogs or turtles, when he spotted us he ran for it. The only other escape route was across the fast flowing ditch.

Pretty cool to see one especially just after a dunk in the water.

I would have preferred to have either all grass or all rock road BG. In this case I like him against road surface. Do you have any a few steps after this one Gary.

Well exposed on the dark fur, and just love the raised foot. Some claws these guys have.

Well done with this not often photographed subject. Exposure looks good, the raised front foot/paw adds to it.
