After experiencing the worst cold I have ever had, Gina nursed me until I was well enough to venture outside today.
Photographed this Anna's female in our garden this morning after missing out on 2 flocks of Cedar Waxwings resting high up in our Arizona Ash the last 2 days - Next time.
Comments always welcome & appreciated

Gus, I wondered where you'd been! Give Gina a big hug from all of us for getting you back to your full self again.
Beautiful hummer! Might consider cloning the back wing out since only a sliver is showing. Nothing wrong with leaving it in just think it will give it a cleaner appearance.
You lost a tiny bit of focus at the base of the tail on this one so tell them to slow down a tiny bit more for their portraits. :)
Beautifully sharp Gus. Great BG too. I would only wish for a CW rotation of the head to provide a better head angle. You are very good at this! Eve thought about a 5-flash set-up to stop the wings?
I visited Elephant head pond in your area it is a fantastic place. Hope to make another trip next year.
IMO square comps are not generally aesthetically pleasing crops. They work great in certain compositions.
Since the subject is more vertically aligned, I would attempt a vertical comp with subjects body centered. Here is my version and see if you like it.
Nice one Desmond - you've almost completely frozen movement. To me it's not about the crop here, it's just that you know the HB is feeding, but I'm dying to see what it's feeding on, even if it is a feeder OOF. You almost want to see the next few frames to see it feed. Great shot!!
