    Default Cheetah with Gnu prey.

This is the follow up to my previous post, taken shortly after this 2 year old cheetah had been surveying them from a termite mound.
More of a documented image than anything particularly special.
Would have loved to have captured at least a few frames of the chase, but it was difficult terrain and he had sprinted quite some distance.

    Marc,

I like the fact you got them in a diagonal in the image. Diagonal lines are strong compositional elements and I feel that helps to strengthen the action in the image.

You pulled out a nice image in spite of tough light conditions Marc. Like it.

I agree with Robert about the nice diagonal you have going here. I like it above and beyond its value as a documentary photo. Well done. Cheers

Nice follow up action captured Marc. Agree with the diagonal element as it adds to the image. I might lighten the shadowed eye area just a bit if mine. Well done.

Hi Marc, the diagonal does really give the image strength, but for me, I love that feeling that is conveyed in the slightly hunched pose of the Cheetah in the effort of pulling the prey back. You know exactly what is happening here, great content.

Wonder if a hint more NR on the BG might help?

You really get a sense of strength with the cheetah hunched over while pulling the prey.

fabulous work Marc - you did well in the available light and the diagonal is indeed very strong as mentioned by my fellow mods. I agree with Steve on an extra helping of NR on the BG though?

more than just a "record shot", mate! :)

Everything about this image illustrates the intensity of the cheetah's efforts. Tells quite a story, very nicely.

Marc - I agree that the diagonal works well. Nice action captured and the curl of the tail to the side is a bonus.

Great action captured here Marc, and with all the excitement, well done on getting both full in the frame.
