    When the weather is cold and skies are white i love to experiment with "high key" photography and white subjects like these Eurasian Spoonbills are amongst my favorites to photograph on such days.

    Just the right exposure here, nice transillumination without the whiteout effect you sometimes get.
    Very interesting to see these guys compared to our spoonbills. In the US, they are semi tropical birds, but yours are obviously much hardier.

    I think the image would present better at the full size of 1024 on the horizontal, would show up much more subtle detail.

    Lovely image. Great translucency, comp and detail. Beautiful wing spread.

    I like the framing of the two birds. I might go for a whiter BG by pushing the exposure to the right in post.

    Love the way this one jumps out...love the high key, very sharp...overall it works well for me. Lovely birds...would love to see more shots of them!!
