I managed to get two shots off before this Downy Woodpecker took off. I shot this horizontal and cropped it vertical this is about 50% of the original. Cloned out a piece of the branch that was sticking up over his beak.

Nice work. The composition works well. I think this could use a bit more sharpening, it looks a little soft as is. I'd also like this image more if it weren't so noticable that the perch was snapped.
