    Face and perch (love the texture there) super-sharp. The rest of the bird could use some additional sharpening. Beautiful bird and colors with a nice head angle.

    Wow. What colors. And the background nicely sets them off. Pose also nicely complements the curve of the perch.

    To me it looks as if mainly the back feathers could use some additional sharpening and/or were accidentally blurred in some PS action as the the tail feathers show much more detail. Although they also might benefit from some sharpening...

    Maybe some more NR on the background? Congrats, JR

    Hey Gary... I really like this. Great detail in the head and tail. Agree on something with the back not looking quite as sharp. Was this at Arenal? Very cool:)

    Lovely subject and great exposure. I agree with the others that a bit more NR applied to the background would be nice. I am not sure what the problem is with the back feathers, as the tail looks fairly sharp - perhaps the iridescence is causing the effect? I would probably have shot at f/5.6 in any case to try and get a little bit more DOF...
