I've been working on some more of my reenactment photos, ones that I haven't posted yet. Here I caught the Confederate cavalry as they were firing off their revolvers.

I cloned out a partial cavalrymen on the left side. For textures, I used "Vintage Tin" from Playingwithbrushes, one of my own textures, and two from Shadowhouse, "RaggedyAnd" and I can't find the url for the other. I also added a very slight motion blur overlay so that the details weren't too sharp and blurred the image corners just a little.

Another old-timer beauty! Does the FG soldier have a pigtail?:) Love the smoke in the BG, feels like a real battle................very well done.

Yes, that's a pigtail, Jay. :) Four out of the six Confederate cavalrymen were women. The smoke is from one of the cavalrymen firing just before this shot. Thanks for commenting!

Christopher, I really think you have re-created the look perfectly here. Your texture and toning work really compliments these images nicely.:)

First thing I noticed was the pigtail...lolol...good work, looks very realistic, framing and textures really help.

Nice work! I know women disguised themselves as men and fought in the Civil War. Glad this one is a bit more obvious. :-)

Thanks Anita! :) The cavalryman on the right is also a woman.
