    Default Mallard Blur

I am a rookie with photoshop blurs, but here is the first effort. This Mallard was flying out the right side of the comp. So I moved him over to the left and thought it might look cool as a photoshop zoom blur. I went with a 100% zoom blur on a background layer and then reduced the opacity. I also repositioned the blur center to the Mallard's eye so that it would remain rather sharp.

    Look forward to comments.

    Andrew,

Nice work, lot's of energy in the image. I might clone out that straight diagonal line along the birds left shoulder, but that's just my taste............ well placed in the frame. Great work...........

Andrew, Did you say it was your first?:pVery nicely done and I can see the implied motion very well. I agree w/ Jay regarding the left wing. Nice amount of blur.

Thanks all for the comments. The dark slash (Mallard's shoulder) is now gone. Posted it on my blog today. I appreciate the comments very much.
