This started out as an image of a single fern leaf. I made a 4-way flip, copied the results on to a new layer, rotated that layer 90 degrees and cropped to a square. Then it was just a matter of trying various blend modes until I found one I liked. In this one, 'darken' was used.

Looks like a view through a keleidoscope, nice flip, pattern and colors. I reallylike doing these...just keep flipping and see where it takes you...well done

Hi Ken, really nice quad flip! I like the fern's colors and patterns and I like the parts that are floating unattached. Cool!

Ken, I like the lighting and the cut-out look to this. It reminds me of when I was in school and we made cut-out snowflakes!:) The colors are lovely.

Be careful, Ken...these are so addicting! Beautiful greens here...and the layers/turns really add to the kaleidoscope feel of the image. I'd say you got your money's worth out of that fern leaf. :D

I've already made 4 more edits with this one as the starting point so I can see where this is going. One of these edits is even starting to look like a Christmas tree ornament!
