    Default Black-capped Chickadee on Sumac

    This was taken at my backyard set-up. I had two perches and wasn't really going for this shot. The primary perch was lower with an autumn BG. I still like this one although it may be too centered for some. All C&Cs are appreciated.

    I think this is a wonderful image—sharp, well exposed, good HA. The splash of sumac red adds interest & livens it. Well captured.

    Jim:

    An effective image, good DOF, colorful and well scaled perch, pleasing BG.

    You could always take a sliver off the right side if you want to decenter it a bit.

    I like it too! There is enough variance in the BG to make it interesting. I like the longer feathers sticking out on the head. The subject is just a touch dark IMO (not much, perhaps 1/3 stop more light on the midtones ans whites needed on it).

    I like it, the perch and the bird are great, the BG is good, but I prefer other colors than blue from the sky.
