    Default Nankeen Kestrel with Skink

    This kestrel was feeding 4 youg chicks. The variety of food ranged from small insects to large reptiles.

    Canon EOS 3, Canon 100-300 F5.6L, ISO 100, Natural light with fill flash, 1/125 sec F11, Tower/Hide, Tripod.

    Very nice image, John. I could only wish for better quality light. Because of the hard light, the area of tree below the Kestral grabs my attention.

    The bird and its prey are so interesting - got my attention! As for the light, can the shadow on the bird's face be opened up a bit and the perch toned down ? (I'm not the one to tell you how...believe me!)

    Nice composition,timing and pose but the light it`s a bit hard
