I photographed this horse at the Civil War reenactment that I went to back in October and hadn't gotten around to posting it before now. I converted the image to B&W, lightened the BG a bit to make the horse stand out more, and added a vignette and blur overlay. I also applied two textures, one of my own and "Bookfront" from Shadowhouse, to give it the sepia tone.

Christopher, I love the look that the horse seems to be giving you. I like the way you processed this. Maybe a hint too much yellow? Nice framing and details.

Great expression indeed! I love that look. It's staring you down... For some reason this one doesn't seem as well-aged as your other images. It might be the sharpness on the bridle or maybe it could use even more texture. Nice portrait regardless!

Thanks Denise and Kerry. I appreciate the comments.

Kerry, I know it's not as aged as most of my images, but that was actually my intention for this image. :)

Here's a repost with a bit less yellow as Denise suggested.

Christopher, The difference was so subtle I had to create an animated gif to see the difference. :)

Love that repost, Christopher. When I opened this up I immediately thought of Trigger - Dale Evans old horse. (No, I'm not really THAT old but that's where my mind went!) You really made me believe it was an older image.

Thanks Jules! I appreciate the kind words. :)

Sorry the difference was so subtle, Denise, but I felt it only needed a slight adjustment.

Christopher, No need to be sorry-I just honestly couldn't see the difference till I did the gif. It was a subtle difference and I think that that was all it needed.

Hi Christopher, really like the repost. I too love the stare the horse is giving you.

Well done, Love the horses' expression. I might consider feathering the vignette just a touch............
