    Default Rosette spoonbill's landing

This picture basically was made in the camera, with selective selective burning utilizing Tim Grey's methodology to bring note a portion of the bird that the whites around the head were clipped. The histogram was pushed almost completely to the right. The image was cropped to take out a bird sitting in the water on the right.

The time of capture was just as the sun set.

Myer, I love the soft high key water-colored look to this:) I do love the reflection with the two sets of legs BUT if it were mine I would crop it out for a better comp. If you could get a hair more detail out of the lower birds neck and back area that would be good. Very neat and great job with this one.

Love the softness and high-key look to this, Myer! :) Looks very beautiful. I would keep the reflection, but I wish the shoreline didn't merge with the one bird. I wonder how it would look if you cloned out the shoreline leaving just the birds and reflection. Well done.

Great colors, reminding me of strawberries and cream... Good points and interesting suggestions. I'm voting for losing the reflection. I would crop from the bottom, right above where the legs are attached to the birds and then paint out the remaining legs. Nice image that has a lot of possible interpretations.

Myer, You did a good job w/ the eviction. I see just a few artifacts in the BG still that I would remove. Since the shoreline is gone I might take a small slice off the left. Nice job:)

I like the shoreline because I think it gives a relational quality to the birds but I agree that it's getting in the way with the lower bird. Maybe try to lower the tall grasses but leave a strip of it in the image?

I agree that the 'strawberries and cream' look is lovely!

Nice job with the eviction, Myer. I would just clean up around the legs a little. You do lose some of the sense of motion of the original, but it looks very nice. :)
