    Not the most inspiring of perches, but the light was so fabulous..:) The high shutter speed was pre-cautionary in case he decided to take off. I removed some distracting clutter in the background.

    Beautiful bird; beautiful light, color and detail. The bird is so stunning one hardly notices the perch. Did you get any from a lower angle?

    Chris,

    Impressive little guy with his riffle of feathers across his head and that wonderful yellow color. So cute, sitting on the fat log with its chubby little feet. I like the streaks of amber in the bokeh as well. Fantastic shot as always.
