I love these guys. You caught him with a perfect HA and lovely background. Is this a large crop?

Siddharth, looks like you got a new toy :-) Love this shot. Excellent low angle, light and HA that shows the entire bill length. Subject is very well placed in the frame.

Wow..I would have thought this a really nice image just with the 300, but with a 2x teleconverter its really very sharp, head angle, composition...well done

Beautiful image Sidharth! I love the low angle and position of the bird in the frame. The light looks great on the bird, and you've captured lots of nice details in the bird.

Hi Sidharth, I like the comp, and low angle, and that long bill is very impressive. Good DOF effect too. Well captured.

Thank you all for the comments.

Bill, no, this is almost full frame.

Kaustubh, yes, Christmas came a bit early for me this year :)

Paul, as I am working on improving my technique, I am convinced that the 300 2.8 handles the 2x extremely well in terms of IQ. AF is a bit compromised, but still pretty good.

Thanks again everyone. Appreciate all the comments.
