    Default Chaffinch

One of the last images taken with my Sigma 800, now sold, just picked up a 500f4 though and looking forward to the next few months of snow and frost.

    Phillip:]

Pretty sharp for EFL of 1200mm at that shutter speed. Well done.

Frost on the perch very interesting. I like some of the needles behind, wish the patch just to the right of the bird in the frame was slightly less prominent, more like the area to the lower left. I might also try to tone down the lime green patch at lower edge of frame.

    Excellent exposure on the whites.

    Look forward to more.

    Cheers

Sharp, perfect EXP, and a surreal BKGR. Would have liked this a bit wider to see more of that wonderful BKGR. Getting the bird out of the center would also have been nice. But overall I like this one a lot.

I like this image sharp, bird is lovely and background is nice....I might have been tempted to try this as a vertical image if you had enough canvas.....very nice

    Hi Phillip,
Isn't it great to be able to post big! For thumbnails you have to upload an image less than 200kb.
    Great chaffinch.
