    Default Ice Flow at Sunset

    Attached Images Attached Images

I took this image a few nights ago, and posted the original on the Landscape Forum..then I started fooling around with Topaz Simplify 3 and came up with this scaly/icy looking overlay that I though might be an interesting twist on the original. Credit goes to Christopher for the
improved crop...............Everything is ice except the top reflection of the sunset in the open water. Not sure about the black pool in the upper part being distracting.......?

    I don't recall the stats.........maybe 90mm, Nikon D3s, iso 1600, etc........

    Comments welcome.............

Interesting effects and fabulous colors. I like the swirls! I would crop about 1/4 off the bottom. I like this version better than the one you posted on the landscape forum.

Hi Jay, I like the bold colors and line texture. Very nice work! You got a nice graphic quality.

Jay, both versions work for me although I might like to see something between the 2....I'm sure that would leave me with 3 versions to like! :)

    Yep Jay,
Really like them both!!! The macro one's darker mood make it work for me.....and the bolder colors and textures make this one just as appealing! Great job on both!

Jay, I think I tend to lean toward preferring the original, but this is a very nice twist on the origianl and it works beautifully.

I also love the graphic quality but would love to see a bit more of the red area and a little less at the bottom to balance it out a bit more. I feel like the sun isn't quite getting the "exposure" it is due. (Sorry...bad pun...) :)
