    Default Japanese Waxwing VI



    Here's another shot of the Japanese waxwing. Except for a stray leaf cloned out bottom left, the BG is as the D3S recorded it.

    Device: Nikon D3S
    Lens: VR 600mm F/4G
    Focal length: 600mm
    VR: ON
    Aperture: F/5.6
    Shutter Speed: 1/160
    Exposure Mode: Aperture Priority
    Exposure Comp.: +1.3EV

    Craig, I like your overall comp, especially the horizontal perch full of berries. Interesting marking and colours on the edge of the wing of the waxwing. If this were mine, I would maybe darken the BG a touch, which will make the waxwing pop even more. Just a thought.:)

    awesome looking bird craig, i really like the sharpness, color & comp. I quite like the bg color too, unusual green. :)

    This is very good, Craig. Loved the perch...nice and parallel. Terrific BG, light, comp and sharpness. Nice pose too. way to go...splendid.
