    I liked the light in this, and how the Chat is perched on a single strand of twig. The BG is completely natural and is OOF grassland. Taken in a nature reserve close to my house.

    Canon 50D
    100-400 @ 400mm

    Hand held from the car.

    cant say that i've spotted this before :o I like the comp & detail, love all the shades of brown, even in the eye, very nice!

    Wow Stuart , this is a superb image of this species. These are not easy to photograph as the plumage tends to lose detail but your exposure and light here is great and has brought out the defenition and feather pattern very well. Typical pose of this species with great background and eye contact. I see it has been digging in the antheaps, love the sand residue on the beak.

    Stu, loved the details and the excellent pose and HA. Awesome BG. If mine, I'd move the bird a tiny bit lower in the frame.
