Have to do new images of the old barn every once in a while. :) This is a shot that I took earlier this year. The sky was all blown out in the original, so I applied three of my textures to add some texture to the sky. I then converted it to B&W, applied the texture "Trashed Viewfinder" from Shadowhouse, added some blurring around the edges, and used hue/saturation to give it a sepia tone. It's a more faded look than my usual style, but I kind of liked it.

It's a cool barn for sure. I know you are trying to keep the entire tree on the right in the composition but I can't help but feel there is a lot of empty space up top and a sllice off the top might look good. Either way it's still nicely processed and I like the texture you applied. :)

Thanks Paul and Denise. I wasn't entirely sure about all the space on top myself, Denise. Here it is cropped closer to remove some of the empty space. Look better now?

Christopher, I love the mega-old look you got with this one. The border treatment makes me think of an old "wet plate" look. I like your crop for the repost and would suggest that you could make a nice medium-format look by cropping enough from the left to make the image square. Could be interesting to see.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the comments!

Kerry, here's a square crop as you suggested. Personally I think I prefer the other crop, but let me know what you think of it.

Hey Christopher, this is nice for all the reasons already mentioned but I think I'd like a different crop....maybe a vertical with all of the tree on the right included and none of the tree on the left. That would put the barn close to the LL ROT position. Just another option for an already cool shot and edit. :)

Thanks for the crop suggestion, Ken. Not sure I would want to place the barn so close to the left side, but it does give me some ideas for future shoots.

Thanks, Roman. Pane 4 is my favorite too. :)
