    Default Holiday Ornament Take II

Ok, this time I tried to incorporate Michael G. Yamasaki's thoughts about the reflection(which btw I like).
I didn't like the hard horizontal line of his first repost of my Longwood Gardens Ornament and I didn't like the starkness of his second repost. To see both here is the link. So I softened the horizon edge and lowered the reflection. Hope this is more realistic than my first post-which I still like as is-oh well!:)

For this image I took a Poinsettia photo that I shot at Longwood Gardens and did a pp zoom blur on it masking back in the center. I added a slight Orton effect to the finished image after applying a texture overlay.

Lovely Denise, with holiday reds and snowflakes. This motivates me to try one.

This very cool, Denise. Love the placement in the frame and partial reflection. The BG is great and the twisty ribbon gives the Ball a very light/weightless feeling. Beautiful subdued colors. The nine primary patterns feel just a tad "square" in the sphere, if you cared about that :).

Love the colors, soft texture and your globe treatment, denise. I appreciate your sharing of the process and struggles. We all learn from this.
Really like the snowflake highlight. :)

    Denise,

Greetings. Looks great (reflection and all :D )... good show.

I watched the process video... some neat ideas... I'll post something when time permits (been crazy busy... wife & daughter perform in Nutcracker this weekend).

    Cheers,

Thank you all for your in-put and comments. As always they are much appreciated. I think it's good to do these type of video tutorials because we can all pick up some good ideas and tips by seeing someone elses work flow. Thanks again Michael for your help.:)

Denise, this is so sweet! Lovely all around and I especially like the bg. Super touch of putting the little snowflake from the bg as a highlight. Very nice.
