    Default Flapping Snow Goose

One early afternoon during Thxgiving week at Bosque a lot, and I mean A LOT, of snow geeses gathered in the SW corner of the flight deck pond - yes, just after the main crossing after entering the refuge - presumably to protect themselves from the strong southern winds that afternoon.

The challenge of course was finding a goose with a relatively clean environment and an interesting pose. This opportunity presented itself after a lot of the geese - and photographers - decided to leave. :)

Due to the quickly varying cloud cover that afternoon and shooting in manual mode the original image was underexposed - aka I screwed up and the image as presented was recovered in PP.

Two stems around the head of the goose were removed as well.

    Thanks Kiran.

I am a bit surprised why this image doesn't gather more comments though and wonder if something is obviously wrong (e.g. cloning marks) but everyone is too polite to mention it. Please go ahead and fire. I can take it. :)

Nice recovery. The pose rocks and your under exposure gives you nice detail in the whites. I'm looking at it on a laptop, and the blacks look pretty good.
