Important Announcement about the Weekly Theme schedule

In order to align our weekly contest schedule with the BPN Image Of The Week schedule, we are making the following change:
Weekly theme contests will now begin on Saturday and run through Friday at midnight. This will put our weekly theme winners in a better position to have their winning entries eligible for the correct week according to the rest of the forums. The way we have it now makes it difficult to reconcile the wildcard pick (weekly theme winner) with the IOTW, as that contest runs from Saturday to Friday. We had the situation where one of our winners would have posted on Saturday or Sunday, which puts them into the next week for IOTW consideration. This may take some getting used to, but will be better for all of us in the long run.
To make a transition to the new schedule, we are going to overlap this week and next week for our weekly contest. The next theme (Happy Holidays) may be submitted this weekend as well as images for the current theme (Holiday Ornaments). The new schedule will take effect next week, with the week ending on Friday the 24th.
