Caught a wind shift late in the afternoon which caused the water to calm down a fair bit. The light was very low, moments before sunset with high overcast.
There was a slight hint of a cyan /blue cast to the water which I desaturated as it wasn't enough to make the water "blue".

Good one, Jim. Loved the low angle and exposure. Subject is very well placed in the frame....the monochromatic image with touch of red in the eye is working very well. Liked the pano crop a lot. TFS.
Ditto all of the skilled folks above. Plus, I like it, especially the way you handled the head and neck REFL with the crop.

I think the low contrast and neutral colors work very well. You could almost make it into a semi-abstract. As posted the image may benefit from a slight CCW rotation. JR
Very nice, for the reasons mentioned above. The touch of red in the monochromatic scene adds a lot for me.
For me, as a self avowed loonatic, I find the pattern on the bill very interesting, the mix of darker center and lighter rim, a mix of breeding and non breeding characteristics.
