Weymouth Woods, NC, same place as Towhee, had to move back with tripod and 500 he was so close.
Gave me a few minutes on this branch...cleaned up perch and cropped.
    Cutest little bird...a Brown-headed Nuthatch
I had never gotten so close to one...I would show you the image that this one improved on...its bad but was only image I had so far...TFL

I like the perch and background very much. Maybe it's just my less than 20/20 vision but the image looks a smidgeon bluish.

Charles your right about the blue, it showed up in my image of a Towhee I posted last night..not sure why the blue is there, maybe it was the light that day....maybe a setting in my new camera...I will have to look into it though...thanks for comment

Love the color palette, pose and sharpness of the bird. Can't comment re the bluish cast as I don't know how the bird looks in reality - and under the circumstances taken.

It appears as if the bird was sharpened while the branch was not. The branch seems a bit overbearing. JR

Paul, good feather detail on the chest, and I like the pose. Comp wise, I would maybe take at least half off the top.
