Sorry I've been gone - work and the holidays got the best of me this week. Plus...Santa brought me a brand new computer with a TB of space (can I hear an hallelujah?) and twice the processing speed! I worked on my first image a few moments ago and found myself waiting for it finish up each time I saved it...and it already had! Old habits are hard to break I guess. :) Denise, thanks SO MUCH for helping out in the other forums while I was away!

So this was from December 5th when the lake was just starting to freeze. There was a stiff wind and overcast skies so I slowed the ss way down (f16 @ 1/13th, handheld) and got several images like this one where the colors and waves all blended together.

Regular processing except instead of surface blur I used Topaz Adjust "Portrait Smooth" and then lowered the opacity until I had it where I wanted it. Finished with a round of regular old USM sharpening.

Jules, Congrats on the new computer!! This is very lovely and I like the way you processed it. The colors and the "brush stroke look" are wonderful!!:)

Reminds me of my favorite Rocky Road Ice cream, with lots of marshmallow swirls! Those heavenly blue patches make this special............another great one. Ditto congrats on the new computer.....it does make a difference.

    Hey Jules,
Congrats on the new presents! I always opt for rockets of computers.....so weird when I have to use a slow one! Sweet colors and I like the patterns and shapes you have throughout the image!
